Meaghan Barber is the owner of Virtual By Design and is currently contracting full-time with The Low Country Education Consortium and serves as the Director for Low Country Virtual. Meaghan has partnered with the Low Country Education Consortium to help launch and grow Low County Virtual. This full-time K-8 online learning program serves eight partnering school districts in the Low Country.
Meaghan is passionate about online learning, focusing on student engagement, curriculum + course design, multi-media design, and instructional filmmaking in education. She earned her M.Ed in Instructional Technology from Coastal Carolina University and continues to teach for their online program. In addition, Meaghan has several years vested in education, teaching history + online psychology 6th - 12th grade, serving as a Digital Integration Specialist and as the Coordinator for Online Learning and Instructional Technology for her previous district. Meaghan loves any chance to be creative in the virtual classroom and loves to inspire others to take risks.
She serves various roles with organizations dedicated to digital learning, such as the Digital Learning Collaborative, Apple Education, and Quality Matters!
